23 Mayıs 2025 tarihinde, Eskişehir İl Millî Eğitim Müdürlüğü koordinasyonunda düzenlenen ve teması “Yapay Zekâ ve İnsanlığın Geleceği” olarak belirlenen 2. Eskişehir Geleceğin Sesi Öğrenci Sempozyumu (ESGES) gerçekleştirildi. Sempozyuma, 17 proje okulundan 214 başvuru yapılmış; bu kapsamda 37 bildiri ve 20 poster sunumu gerçekleştirilmiştir. Danışmanlığını yürüttüğüm öğrencilerim, “Akıllı Kent Uygulamaları” alt temasında “Türkiye’deki Ormansızlaşma Sorununun Yapay Zekâ ile Tespiti” başlıklı bildirileriyle sempozyuma katılım gösterdi. Çalışmaları, günümüzün en önemli çalışma alanlarından biri olan yapay zekâ teknolojilerinin sürdürülebilirlik ve çevre sorunlarının çözümüne uygulanması açısından önemli bir örnek teşkil etmektedir. Sempozyum sonunda, sunulan tüm bildirilere ait tam metin kitapçığı oluşturulup ilgili kurum ve akademik paydaşlarla paylaşılmıştır. Öğrencilerimin bu değerli süreçte yapay zekâ ve sürdürülebilirlik odaklı çalışmalarına rehberlik etmiş olmaktan büyük bir memnuniyet ve mutluluk duyuyorum.
On 23 May 2025, the 2nd Eskişehir Voice of the Future Student Symposium (ESGES), organized under the coordination of Eskişehir Provincial Directorate of National Education, was held with the theme “Artificial Intelligence and the Future of Humanity”. The symposium received 214 applications from 17 project schools and 37 papers and 20 poster presentations were made. The students I mentored participated in the symposium with their papers titled “Detection of Deforestation Problem in Turkey with Artificial Intelligence” in the sub-theme of “Smart City Practices”. Their work constitutes an important example in terms of the solution of sustainability and environmental problems with artificial intelligence technologies, one of the most important fields of study today. At the end of the symposium, a full text of all papers presented was created and shared with relevant institutions and academic partners. I am very pleased and happy to have mentored my students’ work focused on artificial intelligence and sustainability in this valuable process.
