Aydın İl Milli Eğitim Müdürlüğü tarafından yürütülen, TÜBİTAK 4004 Doğa Eğitimi ve Bilim Okulları programı kapsamında desteklenen ”İklim Değişikliğinde 1.5 Derece: Küçük Değişimler- Büyük Farklar” isimli projede eğitmen olarak görev aldım. Dilek Yarımadası Büyük Menderes Deltası Milli Parkı’nda iki farklı atölye ile iklim değişikliğinin en önemli sorunlarından biri olan su krizine yönelik öğrencilerde farkındalık oluşturmayı hedefledim. “Kovadaki bir damla” atölyesi ile Dünya’daki toplam su miktarının ne kadarının kullanılabilir olduğunu analoji yöntemiyle göstererek aşırı su kullanımına ve değişen iklim koşullarına dikkat çekmeye çalıştım. “Suyun inanılmaz yolculuğu” atölyem ile suyun neden yok olmadığını, Dünya’daki su miktarının neden sabit kaldığını ve suyun farklı formlarda Dünya’da gerçekleştirdiği inanılmaz yolculuğu yani su döngüsünü keşfederek, insan faaliyetleri sonucunda bozulan bu döngünün iklimsel değişimlere sebep olduğu vurgulamak istedim. Orman yangınları ve sel gibi afetler ile yüzleştiğimiz bu dönemde ülkemizin doğal güzelliklerinden biri olan Dilek Yarımadasında gerçekleştirdiğimiz atölyeler ile sürdürülebilir bir gelecek için suyun önemini bir kez daha dikkat çekmek istedik.
I took part as an educator in the project titled “1.5 Degrees in Climate Change: Small Changes – Big Differences”, supported by the TÜBİTAK 4004 Nature Education and Science Schools program carried out by Aydın Provincial Directorate of National Education. With two different workshops in Dilek Peninsula Büyük Menderes Delta National Park, I aimed to raise awareness among students about the water crisis, one of the most important problems of climate change. With the “A drop in the bucket” workshop, I tried to draw attention to excessive water use and changing climate conditions by showing by analogy how much of the total amount of water on Earth is available. With my workshop “The incredible journey of water”, I wanted to emphasize why water does not disappear, why the amount of water on Earth remains constant, and the incredible journey of water in different forms on Earth, that is, the water cycle, and to emphasize that this cycle, which is disrupted as a result of human activities, causes climatic changes. In this period when we face disasters such as forest fires and floods, we wanted to draw attention once again to the importance of water for a sustainable future with the workshops we held in Dilek Peninsula, one of the natural beauties of our country.
