Ülkemizin de üye olduğu European Schoolnet (Avrupa Okul Ağı) tarafından yürütülen ve Scientix tarafından düzenlenen STEM Keşif Haftası 2023 (STEM Discovery Campaign 2023) kapsamında katıldığım “Life Terra- Terra Mission Challange” yarışmasında okulumda düzenlediğimiz dikim etkinliği ödül alan üç etkinlikten biri oldu.
In the “Life Terra – Terra Mission Challange” competition, which I participated in within the scope of the STEM Discovery Campaign 2023 organized by Scientix and carried out by the European Schoolnet, of which our country is a member, the planting activity we organized in my school was one of the three activities that received awards.
Ödülümü, Scientix ve Make It Open tarafından Intel, Trane Technologies , Qualcomm, SEER ve STEM Alliance işbirliğiyle 16-17 Haziran 2023 tarihlerinde Future Classroom Lab’da düzenlenen 40. Bilim Projeleri Çalıştayında aldım. Adıma dikilen ağaç için ayrıca Life Terra ekibine teşekkür ediyorum.
I received my award at the 40th Science Projects Workshop organized by Scientix and Make It Open in collaboration with Intel, Trane Technologies, Qualcomm, SEER and STEM Alliance on June 16-17, 2023 at Future Classroom Lab. I would like to thank the Life Terra team for the tree planted in my name.
Bu etkinliği Eskişehir Büyükşehir Belediyesi Yerel Tohum Merkezi ve Eskişehir Orman Bölge Müdürlüğü işbirlikleri ile düzenledik. Eskişehir Büyükşehir Belediyesi bünyesinde bulunan fidanlık ziyareti yapılarak bu ziyaret sırasında belediye tarafından üretilen fidanlar ve yapılan çalışmalar yerinde incelenmiştir. Ayrıca fidanlıkta yer alan Yerel Tohum Üretim Merkezi’nde üretilen yerel tohumlar hakkında yetkililer tarafından bilgilendirme çalışması yapılmıştır. Ata tohumlardan üretilen yerel tohumlar öğrencilerimiz ile dikilip tohum üretme süreci hakkında bir atölye çalışması yapılmıştır. Etkinliğin devamında, Eskişehir Kent Ormanın yakınında yer alan Kocakır Terapi ormanında Eskişehir Orman Bölge Müdürlüğü tarafından üretilen 100 adet sedir ağaç fidanını öğrencilerimiz ile toprakla buluşturduk. Artık okulumuza ait küçük bir orman olduğunu söyleyebiliriz. Ormanımıza ait ağaçları Life Terra platformunda etiketleyerek Life Terra misyonu kapsamında ülkemizde yapılan ilk dikim etkinliğini gerçekleştirdik.
We organized this event in collaboration with Eskişehir Metropolitan Municipality Local Seed Center and Eskişehir Forestry Regional Directorate. A visit was made to the nursery within Eskişehir Metropolitan Municipality and during this visit, the saplings produced by the municipality and the work carried out were examined on site. In addition, information work was carried out by the authorities about the local seeds produced in the Local Seed Production Center located in the nursery. Local seeds produced from ancestral seeds were planted with our students and a workshop was held on the seed production process. In continuation of the event, we brought 100 cedar tree saplings produced by Eskişehir Forestry Regional Directorate together with the soil in Kocakır Therapy Forest located near Eskişehir Urban Forest. We can now say that it is a small forest belonging to our school. We carried out the first planting event in our country within the scope of Life Terra mission by tagging the trees belonging to our forest on the Life Terra platform.
